How does sales tax work with my trailer purchase?
Sales tax isn’t collected at the time of purchase from Rugged Trailers. You will pay the sales tax applicable to your state when you register your trailer.
What is the delivery timeline for a new trailer?
In most cases, you can expect your custom-built trailer to be delivered within 2-3 weeks of placing your deposit. We take pride in our efficient manufacturing process to get your trailer to you quickly. However, during peak seasons, we may experience a temporary increase in lead times.
How do I keep my aluminum trailer looking its best?
Aluminum is a low-maintenance material, and its strength won’t be affected by natural oxidation. However, if you want to tackle any cloudiness and restore shine, lightly scrub the oxidized areas with a green Scotch-Brite pad. A little effort goes a long way! Harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners are unnecessary and could damage the finish.
How do I best secure my trailer when it’s not in use?
For the most effective security, use a coupler lock to prevent your trailer from being towed away. Our trailers use a Demco coupler, so a compatible Demco lock offers a secure fit. For an added layer of protection, you can also use a wheel lock to deter quick movement. Consider storing your trailer in a secure, well-lit area when possible.
Can I buy a Rugged Trailer from a local dealer?
