Privacy Policy

We collect the information needed to save a build, answer a question, review a reservation, process a payment, manage an order, and support a customer.

• Contact and delivery details, such as name, email, phone number, address, and delivery ZIP code.
• Configurator choices, saved-build identifiers, trailer models, options, accessories, notes, pricing snapshots, and revisions.
• Reservation and transaction records, including amount, status, provider identifiers, and timestamps. Stripe securely saves the credit or debit card used for the reservation for the later production-deposit and final-balance checkouts for the same order. Rugged receives Stripe identifiers and limited card details, such as brand and last four digits, but not the complete card number or security code.
• Communications with Rugged, approvals, support requests, and completion-review activity.
• Website and device information, such as pages viewed, referral details, browser data, IP address, and essential local storage, session storage, or cookies used to keep a build working, understand site performance, and estimate a nearby ZIP for delivery-price previews. The connection-based ZIP is approximate and is not saved as your delivery ZIP unless you confirm it; a ZIP you enter always replaces the estimate.
• If you press “Use my current location,” your browser asks permission to provide device coordinates. Those coordinates are sent directly from your browser to Google Maps once to find a nearby U.S. ZIP code. Rugged stores the resulting ZIP, not the device coordinates. You can always enter a ZIP manually instead.
• First- and last-touch attribution details retained for up to 90 days, including standard UTM campaign fields, supported advertising click identifiers, the route-only landing page, and an external referrer hostname.
• When Analytics is on and you later submit contact details, HubSpot may associate its visitor cookie and public-page history with your customer record. Private payment, reservation-confirmation, account, and admin routes are excluded from that browser tracking.
• When Advertising is active under the regional default or your saved choice, Rugged may capture Meta browser or click identifiers with the identified build. For eligible Conversions API reporting, contact and delivery fields are normalized and cryptographically hashed before transfer; Meta may also receive a pseudonymous order identifier, the applicable customer-journey stage, and value where relevant.
• Microsoft UET runs only on public routes and receives sanitized route-only page views. Its advertising storage follows the same regional default, saved Advertising choice, and Global Privacy Control protections used by Rugged’s other advertising measurement.

We use information to operate and improve the configurator, reconnect customers with saved builds, provide sales and support follow-up, confirm pricing and delivery, process and verify payments, offer the Stripe-saved reservation card at the later production-deposit and final-balance checkouts for the same order, manage build approvals and revisions, communicate order progress, prevent misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.

If you submit contact details or reserve a trailer, Rugged may save a sanitized attribution record with the lead, build, or order so the team can understand how the request reached Rugged and support sales and order operations. That operational record is not sent to Google Analytics or Google Ads as a custom attribution payload before the applicable analytics or advertising choice.

If Advertising was active when you identified yourself, Rugged may report later order outcomes to Meta through the Conversions API to measure and improve advertising. Raw email addresses and phone numbers are not placed in that provider request; matching fields are normalized and hashed before transfer.

The configurator can preserve a draft before you identify yourself so a longer-consideration purchase is not lost. Anonymous build drafts may be retained for up to 365 days. A draft can become associated with you if you later provide contact information, request follow-up, or reserve that build.

Your browser may also store build information locally so you can resume. Clearing browser storage can remove that local copy, but it does not automatically delete information already submitted to Rugged.

We share information with service providers when needed to run the website, process a reservation, maintain the customer record, communicate with you, and complete the order. They process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

When Google address suggestions are available and you type in the street-address field, the address text is sent to Google Maps to return suggestions. You may continue with manual address entry if suggestions are unavailable or you prefer not to select one.

Before you provide a ZIP, Rugged may use location information supplied with your internet connection to estimate a nearby ZIP for delivery-price previews. The estimate may reflect your internet provider rather than your physical location. It is labeled as approximate, is not saved as your delivery ZIP unless you confirm it, and can always be replaced by a ZIP you enter.

When you choose “Use my current location,” Google Maps receives the device coordinates your browser provides and returns a nearby ZIP code. The feature is optional, requires browser permission, and is not requested automatically.

Meta advertising measurement is used only when Advertising was active for the identified journey and no verified order-associated withdrawal has been recorded. Meta may use received event and hashed matching data under its own privacy terms and controls.

Microsoft UET uses advanced Consent Mode on public routes. Advertising storage is denied by default and is updated only from Rugged’s regional measurement policy or your saved Advertising choice.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect customers or the business, or in connection with a business transaction. We do not authorize service providers to use customer information for purposes unrelated to the services they provide to Rugged.

When you request help, save contact details, or reserve a build, Rugged may call, email, or text about that request, reservation, or order. These operational messages are part of serving the request you made.

Marketing consent is optional, requested separately where required, and is not a condition of purchase. You can withdraw marketing consent using the instructions in a message or by contacting Rugged. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary reservation, order, delivery, safety, or service communications.

Anonymous drafts may be kept for up to 365 days. Other records are kept for as long as reasonably needed to manage the customer relationship and order, provide service, maintain transaction and approval history, resolve disputes, protect the service, and meet applicable legal or accounting obligations. Retention can vary by record type and legal requirement.

Stripe retains the saved card for the order under its security and retention practices. You may contact Rugged to request removal from future order checkouts; completed transaction records and legally required accounting records may still be retained.

You may contact Rugged to ask about, access, correct, or delete personal information, or to withdraw optional marketing consent. Available rights and exceptions depend on where you live and applicable law. Rugged may need to verify a request before acting on it.

Analytics is on by default for public-site measurement. For visitors positively identified as being in the United States, advertising storage, advertising user-data signals, and advertising personalization may also start on by default. Advertising remains off when the location signal is outside the United States or unavailable, or when Global Privacy Control is asserted. You can turn Analytics or Advertising off, enable either category where available, or change either choice from the Measurement preferences link in the site footer. A current-version saved choice always overrides the regional default. When Analytics is off under advanced Consent Mode, Google may still receive limited cookieless measurement pings, while HubSpot browser tracking is stopped and its tracking-cookie consent is revoked.

Changing Measurement preferences stops future browser advertising measurement on that browser. A browser preference does not identify you or automatically connect itself to a build or order you previously submitted. To stop future Meta Conversions API outcome sharing for an identified request or order, contact Rugged with the reservation or order number. Rugged will verify the request and record a durable suppression before future Meta sends; required commerce, payment, and audit records remain intact.

Rugged and its service providers use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and service. No website, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

We may update this policy as the website and purchase process change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the version currently published.
